Thanks for your interest in RoundRocks. Our roots were planted long ago along the banks of the Madison River. The round rocks you'll find in that river all have a story to tell and have built a legacy for generations. Our legacy is similar to those round rocks, a long legacy of fishing, many stories to tell and generations of hard work to bring quality flies to you.

We have been making flies for over 25 years. Kohn Smith founded RoundRocks in the early 90's after coaching basketball at Indiana University and Utah State University. He grew up on the banks of the Logan River and spent many days fishing the great rivers of the west with his father Don and brother Gary. He developed a talent for tying flies and catching fish that led him to start a full-time fly operation after his coaching career. RoundRocks was born with the simple goal to make flies that catch fish. Today Kohn's son, Steve, runs the day-to-day operations. You can find us in Hyrum Utah not too far from the Blacksmith Fork River. If we're not in the shop, we're probably up the canyon. Stop in and say hi or give us a call, we'd love to hear from you.
